[Eagle Required] Be sure to review the guidelines set by your particular counselor. This session is geared towards the novice-cook who doesn’t know how to get started on the MB. You will not walk out of the midway having earned the Cooking MB. The counselor will meet with you as needed to finish the Cooking MB. Get the Cooking MB Pamphlet. Read the requirements and (at least) chapters 1, 4, 5, 6. Do requirement 2a, 2b and 2c before coming to the midway. Requirement 6d can NOT be done at the Midway. Bring the MB Pamphlet and the Worksheet. You MUST COMPLETE the requirements BEFORE coming to class. Scouts not prepared will not be admitted to class. Worksheet

This is an all day session, AM and PM. Bring a blue card signed by your scoutmaster. Call your counselor in advance, Mr. Porter (408) 833-9269. Get an Electronics Merit Badge book. Read the book. You will only be signed off for the requirements you demonstrate. Bring $20 for the electronics projects. Do the following requirements before the midway: (HINT: Filling out the worksheet guarantees sign offs) 2. Do the following: a. Draw a simple schematic diagram. It must show resistors, capacitors, and transistors or integrated circuits, Use the correct symbols. Label all parts. (HINT: You may draw one from the merit badge pamphlet) b. Tell the purpose of each part. (HINT: The merit badge pamphlet can help you.) 5. Do the following: a. Show how to solve a simple problem involving current, voltage, and resistance using Ohm's law. b. Tell about the need for and the use of test equipment in electronics. Name three types of test equipment. Tell how they operate. [Eagle Required] This Merit Badge is now one 3-1/2 Hour Morning SESSION MANDATORY - a First Aid kit to enter the classroom - proof of completion of the First Aid requirements for Tenderfoot through First Class or be at least First Class in rank (We will go over the requirements anyways)- Scout Handbook if not first class. We will talk about each requirement in the MB worksheet or Scouts BSA Requirements book for this Merit Badge. Bring Scout Handbook – proof of completion of the First Aid requirements for Tenderfoot through First Class. Bring First Aid kit – to meet requirement 2d. Cannot complete MB without a First Aid kit. Recommended: Read the First Aid MB booklet to become acquainted with the subject matter Bring/wear your neckerchief. Bring some newspapers. Please DO the following BEFORE the session to complete this MB at the Midway, otherwise a Partial will be issued: * Study the Geocaching Merit Badge Book * Have written proof that a Geocaching.com account has been establish and counter signed by parent indicating that permission was given to create the account. * Req. 5cd: Study and prepare to explain and demonstrate the use of UTM and be prepared to compare the UTM accuracy against a GPS Unit. * Req. 7: Identify three public caches on Geocaching.com, and find at least one of them. * Req. 8: (select one from A - D). COUNSELOR'S NOTES: 1) Bring signed blue card. 2) Print out and bring geocache worksheet and bring MB booklet to class. 3) Bring a cell phone with geocaching app installed and personal account set up. 4) Download GPS app: commander compass and install in on the cell phone. Cell phone MUST BE data enabled to use geocahing app If you have already hidden your cache for 1 month sign off will be available otherwise contact MBC instructor once done for sign up. Worksheet
